X-ray department
The X-ray department is equipped with high-tech expert-class equipment, thanks to which patients will be able to receive accessible, high-quality, specialized medical care in the field of radiation diagnostics at all stages of treatment.
The 1.5T MAGNETOM Aera MR system is designed not only for expert-level examinations, but also provides the highest level of comfort for patients.
MAGNETOM Aera is equipped with a suite of applications for all anatomical regions, and a wide range of additional applications are available for the system. The precision of Tim 4G technology and the consistency of Dot technology help to achieve excellent image quality and consistently high examination results.
Patient comfort is achieved through a combination of various aspects, including a patient-friendly magnet design and lightweight coils. With an open tunnel of 70 cm in width and a short length of only 145 cm, this system allows diagnostic examinations to be performed on a wide range of patients.
- Potential reduction in the likelihood of study abandonment and increase in the number of possible clinical applications;
- Obtaining clearer images by reducing patient movements caused by anxiety;
- Magnet design that is better accepted by patients with claustrophobia;
- The reduction in the use of sedatives is reduced by minimizing the likelihood of claustrophobia;
- More studies where the patient’s head is outside the magnet tunnel;
- Coverage of all categories of patients: children, obese, seriously ill, patients with kyphosis, patients with respiratory failure, pain syndrome, limited mobility, claustrophobia and a tendency to anxiety.
The new innovative Canon Aquilion ONE (GENESIS Edition) CT scanner, installed in the diagnostic building, is an evolution of technology. It is a CT system with the best spatial resolution at a reduced radiation load.
The advantages of the Canon Aquilion ONE (GENESIS Edition) computer tomograph are:
- The largest number of elements in the detector among all manufacturers – 320 rows and 286720 elements. The smallest element size among all manufacturers – 0.5 mm. This leads to excellent image quality due to the creation of truly isotropic voxels;
- sufficient detector width – 16 cm, which allows scanning almost any anatomical area without moving the table with low radiation exposure in one rotation of the X-ray tube;
- a large aperture of 78 cm and a gantry tilt angle of +/- 30°. No other high-end CT scanner among other manufacturers has such functionality. This element of the device allows for easy positioning of patients when they are laid down and further scanning for any clinical tasks;
- maximum scanning range of 200 cm. Its use in CT studies provides an obvious advantage when scanning extended areas, since there is no need to reposition patients when examining different anatomical zones;
- the ability to scan using two energies on an X-ray tube, which significantly improves the visualization of pathological foci and allows for their differential analysis at the level of chemical composition.
- a scanner with a post-processing algorithm for removing metal artifacts, the use of which improves the diagnosis of diseases in patients with endoprostheses.
In addition, the updated X-ray department has a Uniexpert 3 Plus complex with three workstations based on a motorized tilting table-stand, a table with a floating deck and a vertical stand, in analog and digital versions. Thanks to such medical equipment, it is possible to perform X-rays with the patient sitting, lying down, standing, as well as fluoroscopy.
