Department of Transplantation
The Transplantation Department (TD) operates at maximum capacity – up to 70 transplants per year. The use of such a high-tech procedure as hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) significantly increases children’s chances of recovery or, in some very severe cases, prolongs the period of remission.
The transplant department is designed for 8 patients and performs all types of hematopoietic and mesenchymal stem cell transplants (allogeneic, autologous, partially compatible, haploidentical). It is equipped with sterile boxes and everything necessary for round-the-clock monitoring of the child’s vital functions and systems.
Each box has a TV (DVD player) with remote control, and daily monitoring and work of a highly qualified psychologist together with medical staff help the little patient adapt to unusual conditions and undergo the entire course of immunosuppressive therapy and HSCT.
