Residency
Clinical residency is a form of professional training for medical specialists, as well as for individuals who have obtained medical education outside the Republic of Belarus.
The main objectives of training in clinical residency are:
- development of advanced medical technologies to provide specialized and high-tech medical care;
- enhancing professional knowledge and improving practical skills;
- admission of physicians to provide specialized and high-tech medical care;
- change in the profile of a medical specialist’s specialty.
Training in the clinical residency of the Center for Children’s Oncology, Hematology and Immunology is carried out:
in full-time and part-time forms in the specialty of clinical residency “Pediatric Oncohematology” at the expense of the republican budget.
The procedure for training in clinical residency is determined by the Regulation on the procedure for organizing and undergoing training in clinical residency, the procedure and conditions for the expulsion and reinstatement of persons who have undergone training in clinical residency, approved by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated 01.02.2024 No. 77 “On professional training in clinical residency”.
Admission to the clinical specialty “Pediatric Oncohematology” of medical specialists from among citizens of the Republic of Belarus is funded by the republican budget according to the annual intake quotas approved by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.
Applications for clinical residency and entrance examinations are accepted annually in May–July; classes begin on September 1.
Foreign citizens undergo training in clinical residency in full-time, paid form. Training in clinical residency of foreign citizens (at their request) can be extended for a period of up to 5 years.
The cost of training for foreign citizens for full-time training (24 months) is 6 000 US dollars per year, for part-time training (36 months) – 4 000 US dollars per year. The cost of reagents and accommodation are paid additionally.
Training in clinical residency is carried out in accordance with the plans and programs for training in residency specialties established by the Ministry of Health.
